Occupational Exposure to Blood borne Pathogens Training |
||||||
|
To all employees, On December 6, 1991, OSHA
published the “Occupational Exposure to Blood borne Pathogens” Standard
whose purpose was to eliminate or minimize occupational exposure to the
Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and other blood
borne pathogens that employees may encounter. In response to OSHA’s
Blood borne Pathogens Standard, Mental Health Systems feels it is important
for all employees to know about blood borne pathogens and understand the
hazards of being a “Good Samaritan” or a first responder on the scene of an
accident. Mental Health Systems
requires all employees be trained on Blood borne Pathogens.
Our workers’ compensation
company, The Zenith, has provided us a free online training.
Before taking the Blood borne Pathogen training, you must read “The
Zenith Disclaimer.” Below are
instructions on how to read the disclaimer and complete the training.
Please complete the training before February 15, 2009. If you have completed the Blood borne Pathogen training within the past year, you do not need to complete the training again until one full year has passed.
